A pedestrian is dead and authorities are seeking the driver of the vehicle suspected of the hit and run.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 64-year-old male was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 160 in Forsyth around 8:00 Friday evening. The vehicle left the scene following the accident.
The victim, not named in the MSHP report, was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Coroner Tony Mullen.
This is the second fatality in traffic incidents worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2025.
