Hollister man faces life in prison for statutory sodomy

TANEY COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Hollister has been jailed after being charged with a felony child sex crime in Taney County Circuit Court.

Online court dockets say Gary L. Carnelison, born in 1964, of Hollister, is charged with statutory sodomy.

The probable cause statement says in July of this year, the Taney County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) investigated a report of Carnelison sexually assaulting three girls — ages 15, 10 and 8 years old — from December 2020 to December of 2021.
