The outgoing and incoming Superintendents of the Forsyth School District talk about the year of transition, what has passed, and what is to come.
Dr. Jeff Mingus and Dr. Grant Boyer, during a recent visit to KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, said that keeping the superintendent transition for the second time in a row has helped. Mingus talked about the six years he spent as the assistant to then Superintendent Dr. Brent Blevins and how they handled the year prior to his departure. Mingus said he used a similar approach in handing his transition, giving Boyer more direct supervision of projects as he gets ready to take over the top spot July 1.
Boyer added the two-years he spent as Superintendent in the nearby Taneyville School District has also prepared him to succeed the retiring Mingus.
Both men talked about the things that have happened over the years of Mingus' tenure, including the development of the Performing Arts Center and Early Childhood Center along with the new Indoor Athletic Complex and the beginning of the Football and Track Programs.
