A wet weather pattern persists this week before some summer heat builds into the Ozarks.
During an interview Monday on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program, Justin Titus of the National Weather Service office in Springfield said that a rainy pattern will continue this week with chances of showers and thunderstorms each day through Saturday. Titus adds that a severe threat is possible, but the primary concern will be flooding with the ground already saturated from recent rain.
Once this system moves through, a dryer pattern is expected with highs into the 90s next week.
