While the risk is low, the Lakes Region could see some scattered severe thunderstorms the rest of the week.
The National Weather Service has the Lakes Region at a Marginal Risk through Thursday with hail and gusty winds the primary threats.
Winds are expected to be gusty around the storms on Wednesday with potential gusts up to 35 MPH expected.
Temperatures will surge upward on Wednesday with 90 degrees possible, especially in southern Missouri.
There will be a break in the rain on Friday before scattered showers are again possible during the weekend with temperatures settling into the 80s.
