A program started by Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe highlighting his commitment to bolstering public safety and support for law enforcement, along with building public safety partnerships is in its second year.
The Missouri Blue Shield Designation is coordinated through the Missouri Division of Public Safety to encourage police and sheriff departments to demonstrate their ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and engage the community in teaming up for public safety programs.
The City of Crane is the latest Lakes Region Police Department to achieve Blue Shield Designation joining Branson, Indian Point, Kimberling City, and Reeds Spring. Also, both Barry and Stone Counties have also achieved the designation for 2026.
More details on the Blue Shield Program can be found on the Missouri Department of Public Safety Website.
