A local organization that collects food left behind from visitors to the Branson Area will have a float in the Flag Day Parade doubling as a food collection point.
According to a release from Leftovers 4 Locals, they are asking parade attendees to bring a nonperishable item to fill their float that is a part of the parade Sunday at 4:00 through downtown Branson.
The food drive will help the organization, a nonprofit that collects food and hygiene items from tourists as they're leaving town as well as from local families and businesses that are donated food pantries and other organizations in Stone and Taney Counties.
