A man from Ozark is facing several felony charges after an incident in downtown Branson late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit filed by the Branson Police Department, Darrin Tubbs approached a woman near The Smiling Buffalo business located on West Main Street and asked her why she was coughing. The victim later tried to leave at which times Tubbs pointed a gun at her from within the store which caused the victim to call 9-1-1.
When the police arrived, Tubbs barricaded himself in the store which led to a standoff with the Branson SW.A.T. team that went into Wednesday morning. Eventually, police gained entrance to the business with Tubbs resisting arrest and causing minor injuries to four police officers and assaulted K-9 Rico during the incident.
Tubbs faces a total of 10 charges including felony counts for Harassment of the initial victim as well as Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
Tubbs is being held without Bond in the Taney County Jail.
