Stone County Agent Dan Akin discusses the end of Missouri's first ever Bear Hunting Season in which 12 bears were harvested, nine of those were harvested in the southwest Missouri zone that includes the Lakes Region.
Akin also reminds hunters that the first Youth Firearms Season is this weekend and also discusses fishing in the region and some upcoming events like the Nature Hike at Roaring River State Park. Akin also reminded anglers that the Catch and Release Trout season at the Missouri Parks including Roaring River ends on Sunday.
