JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said she is prepared to take action on video lottery terminals (VLTs) that continue to pop up at gas stations and bars across the state.
“What I’m super concerned about is that they are wholly unregulated in Missouri,” Hanaway said in an interview [last] Wednesday. “They’re not taxed.”
The Republican said she believes the machines, which resemble slot machines but are considered games of chance, are in fact illegal, and if legislators won’t act she would.
