OZARK, Mo. — The Ozark Police Department (OPD) will be hosting open testing this weekend for new police recruits.
The City of Ozark says testing will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 on the track at the Ozark Junior High. Applicants are encouraged to wear clothes appropriate for running.
Top-scoring applicants will advance to a written exam immediately after the fitness test, and interviews will also be conducted on-site.
Application requirements include:
- Must be 21 years old before being sworn in
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- No felony convictions
- No DWI convictions in the past three years, and no more than one DWI conviction
