A system making its way to the Lakes Region could dump some substantial rain on Thursday.
The National Weather Services offices in Little Rock, Springfield, and Tulsa have all issued Flood Watches due to the potential for high amounts of rain. While the Flood Watch for the Harrison area goes into effect this afternoon, the most substantial rain is expected Thursday afternoon and evening where forecasters are predicting one to four inches of rain with possible isolated amounts of five or more inches possible.
Rain is expected to end Friday morning and after a brief cold period, temperatures are expected to rise back into the 60’s by Sunday.
