According to a Facebook post from the City of Nixa, Nixa City Council has appointed Rebekka Coffey to serve as City Clerk effective February 7, 2022.
Coffey has served as Deputy City Clerk since September 2021 and was hired by the city in June 2016 as an Administrative Assistant.
According to the City of Nixa’s Home Rule Charter, the position of City Clerk is appointed by City Council (along with the positions of City Administrator, City Attorney, and Chief of Police), and the position reports to the City Administrator regarding day-to-day operations.
The position of City Clerk became open upon the promotion of former City Clerk Cindy Robbins to Assistant City Administrator.
