A teenager from the Lakes Region is injured in a crash in the parking lot of a racetrack in Hickory County over the weekend.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Lucas Motor Speedway in Wheatland.
The report indicates that a 14-year-old male from Crane was riding his dirt bike in the parking lot while a 19-year-old man from Rogers was driving a SUV. Both vehicles swerved and collided with each other.
The SUV driver was not injured but the dirt bike driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment of his injuries.
