A tropical storm hitting the Texas Coast today could impact the Lakes Region.
According to projections from the National Weather Service National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Beryl will turn northeast with the current projected path taking over northwest Arkansas into southern Missouri. The current path of Beryl is projected to move the center of the storm just to the south of the Ozarks, but forecasters do predict the chances of 1-3 inches in the region with possible amounts of four inches or higher in parts of northern Arkansas. A Flood Watch has been issued for most of the Lakes Region for tonight through Tuesday.
Some scattered showers are moving through the region this morning prior to the main storm coming through later today.
