Several emergency agencies responded to Western Grove late Monday afternoon to a report of an 18-wheeler that had left the roadway and slammed into the front of Grice’s Store.
According to a post from the Harrison Fire Department, the semi was demolished with the collision leading to the building becoming unstable and having to work around a fluid leak.
According to further information released by Lee Dunlap of the Harrison Daily Times, Harrison Firefighters were joined at the scene by firefighters from several area departments including Valley Spring and Western Grove along with Newton County and Arkansas State Police Officers and the National Park Service.
No major injuries were reported from the accident.
