A man from Shell Knob dies after a two-vehicle crash late last week.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened during the Noon Hour Friday on State Highway 86 near Golden when a vehicle driven 75-year-old Bruce Meyers failed to yield to another vehicle causing the collision which forced Meyers vehicle to go off the road and collide with another unoccupied vehicle that was parked off the road.
Meyers was pronounced dead at the scene while a passenger in his vehicle, 80-year-old Beverly Meyers, sustained serious injuries and was taken by Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the other vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
This is the 63rd fatality worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2022.
