The story of an area contractor who is being sued by several individuals and is facing criminal charges takes another turn.
Brian Sides of Reeds Spring was scheduled for a trial in Howell County this week, but that appearance was delayed according to an Ozarks First Report to what Sides' attorney said was a medical situation. A scheduled arraignment in Taney County on other charges has also been postponed until January.
Sides is facing numerous changes for not delivering on work that was promised despite being paid for the work in both Arkansas and Missouri. Sides has had civil judgements made against him, including one in which Duane Smith had entered an agreement to develop an RV Park in Mountain Home but ended up defrauding Smith and his wife Stephanie of over $334,000. Smith tells Legends 1063 that despite winning the lawsuit, no money has been paid by Sides.
More details on the current situation in these cases can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
