A man from Springfield is in the Taney County Jail after a stabbing incident in Branson over the weekend.
According to a Probable Cause Statement submitted to the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office by Branson Police, Michael Everett Gardner approached a person at Track 4 on West 76 County Music Blvd. on Sunday and began stabbing at him, getting the victim once in the abdomen and several times in the foreman as the victim was trying to block the knife. The statement reveals the victim could have permanent damage to the arm due to the stab wounds. Gardner is alleged to have threatened another victim was witness the attack then used what is believed to be pepper spray on that person.
When Branson Police arrived on the scene, Gardner resisted arrest before finally being taken into custody.
Gardner is facing five Felony Charges including Two Counts of Assault and Resisting Arrest. He is being held in the Taney County Jail without bond.
