The Stone County Sheriff’s Office newest K9 Officer takes part in her first drug bust last week.
According to a post from the department’s Facebook page, K9 Iya and her handler Corporal Nathan Huston joined other deputies as well as members of the Taney County Sheriff’s Office, Branson Police Department, and COMET Drug Task Force in executing two search warrants, one on Thursday in Blue Eye and the other on Friday in Kimberling City.
One person at each residence, Dennis Eugene Smith, Jr. and Martha Lucas Grisham, are facing charges in the case including for possession of illegal substances and weapons possession.
