Two accidents 12 hours apart injures three people in the western part of the Lakes Region on Sunday.
According to the reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the first crash took place Sunday morning on Highway 173 north of Cape Fair when a 70-year-old man driving a tractor struck a ditch and was ejected from the tractor. The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The other crash took place Sunday evening on a Farm Road North of Cassville when an ATV failed to negotiate a curve and went airborne before striking a tree and a fence. The driver of the ATV, a 26-year-old woman from Berryville, sustained serious injuries while the passenger, a 23-year-old woman from Cassville, sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville for treatment.
