Several more Lakes Region Law Enforcement Agencies have been added to the Missouri Blue Shield Designation List for 2026.
According to a release from the Taney County Sheriff's Office, they received official word from the Missouri Department of Public Safety of gaining the designation for 2026.
The Missouri Department of Public Safety also released the information stating this is the first time in the two-year program that Taney County has achieved this status. Another area community, Ava in Douglas County, also was announced as a first time designee.
In previous reporting from Ozarks Dynacom News, it was stated that this program was developed by Governor Mike Kehoe to honor Missouri community and county law enforcement agencies hat demonstrate their commitment to enhancing public safety, investing in and supporting law enforcement and building partnerships between law enforcement and community members.
