The Taney County Health Department in a release on Monday confirms a trend in southwest Missouri that COVID-19 Cases are on the rise.
“This uptick in cases is not surprising.” states Lisa Marshall, Director of the Taney County Health Department in the release, “We experienced the same thing this time last year, fortunately, this year is different because there are safe effective vaccines available to prevent COVID-19.”
Marshall also states that even though variants are appearing of the virus, the Vaccines are having a positive effect fighting those viruses as well.
Reports from around the region over the last few days has indicated a trend in southwest Missouri of an uptick in the virus due to mask mandates and social distancing requirements being relaxed.
TCHD is holding a pair of Pfizer Vaccination Clinics at the Shoppes at Branson Meadows today from 3-6 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am-4 pm.
