Renee “Mimi” Baldwin

Renee “Mimi” Baldwin passed away on March 17, 2026.

Renee “Mimi” Baldwin—also known as Mimister, NayBob, Mama Llama, best friend, Babe, and Mama—graced the earth with her legendary presence July 30, 1970. The beloved daughter of Chalk and Ginger Baldwin, Renee made her mark on the world in a way that will not soon be forgotten.

On March 17, 2026, Renee reportedly went into hiding with Bigfoot, aided by her loyal “thug life” gang. While the details remain unconfirmed, those who knew her suspect she is already running the operation.Renee grew up in a home surrounded by an infinite amount of family—so much so that “cousin” never quite covered it. Many of them she considered her sisters and brothers, whether officially related or not.

We just know she is sitting around the kitchen table, sharing stories with her beloved family—her mother, Ginger Baldwin; her sister, Vicki Burch; her grandparents, Ray and Mayrene Baldwin, and many others.

Renee had many joys in life: dirt track racing, fishing, camping, and concerts—but most importantly, being a Mama and Mimi. “Thug Nasty” created a gang that carries on her quick wit, her care for others, her good taste in music, and her ability to thug it out. While she might have said her best quality was resilience, those who knew her understood it was her ability to love anyone who needed it and to never judge a person for their struggles.

She is survived by her Pop, Dennis Baldwin; her daughters, Kala Barnes and husband Jeremy, Tiffany Hunnell, and Crystal Dimello; her grandchildren, Noah, Charles, Abigail, and MaKalei Barnes, Draven and Harley Anderson, Brook, Emily, and Zeke Dimello, Avarice Whaley, and many others she loved as her own; as well as her partner, Ken Fortson.

Mimi was truly one of a kind but instilled a little bit of herself in everyone she loved. She made her friends her family. The world could never argue that she was, without a doubt, the best Mimi—everyone’s favorite partner in crime. She showed up every time, without fail, usually with a Dr Pepper in hand and always willing to share from her cup.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in memory of Renee.
