The lawyer for a former principal and basketball coach at Omaha High School has filed for another continuance in his client’s murder trial.
The attorney, Shane Wilkinson of Bentonville, filed the continuance Monday for his client Rocky Dodson. Dodson is accused of murdering his wife, Amanda Christine Dodson.
In the court filing, Wilkinson says “Discovery in the case is voluminous.” He says he anticipates “the discovery process to take some time.” He also says Dodson has “retained an expert witness pathologist of his own who is currently reviewing the case and preparing his report.” The attorney asked the court for additional time for this witness “to perform his due diligence.”
Dodson’s trial is currently scheduled for May 22.
Dodson is accused of killing his wife in March of last year.
