For most of the region, the upcoming week will have a familiar look to it weather wise: Dry!
The majority of southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas look to have another dry week. There is a slight chance of light rain Monday night, though the National Weather Service says areas that receive rain will get less that a tenth of an inch.
With dry conditions continuing through the week, more officials are banning or discouraging open burning. The City of Forsyth Fire Department is one of the latest communities to ask their citizens not to do any open burning.
Meanwhile, officials at the Buffalo National River have implemented new restrictions of campfires.
According to the release posted by KTLO, the lighting or maintaining of campfires is prohibited except in campground areas that have fire grates or rings or along gravel bars away from vegetation.
