Another person has filed a lawsuit against several parties involved with Kanakuk Ministries claiming they defrauded him in seeking penalties against convicted sex criminal Pete Newman.
According to an article in the Branson Tri-Lakes News, 37-year-old Andrew Summersett filed the suit. Summersett tells the Branson Tri-Lakes News he was on two occasions abused by Newman, who later was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for multiple incidents of abuse against underage boys during his time with Kanakuk.
Similar to the fraud suit already filed against Kanakuk by another victim, Logan Yandell, Suummersett is claiming officials with Kanakuk were aware of Newman's activities and covered it up plus the organization was not forthcoming with the victims on when it became aware of Newman's activities.
