A cool start to Saturday morning will give way to another surge of heat with a slight chance of rain.
The rain chance for the Lakes Region is small, but any storms that do develop have a Marginal Risk of becoming severe according to National Weather Service Forecasters. Scattered damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall will be the main hazards with this activity.
Temperatures will move into the mid 90s today with Heat Index readings around 100. After the rain moves out on Sunday, temperatures are expected to return to the upper 90s and remain hot and dry through mid-week.
