Another Hot Period in the Lakes Region UPDATE

Another wave of heat is forecast for the Lakes Region over the next several days.

UPDATE 2:30 8/14
The National Weather Service has now issued a Heat Advisory for the central and western part of the Missouri Lakes Region starting at Noon Friday and going through Monday. The Branson Area is included in the advisory including Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycome, and the western sectionsl of Bull Shoals Lake.

The forecast highs in much of the Lakes Region are expected to approach 100 while slightly cooler temperatures are expected in the higher elevations of northern Arkansas, which will also see a slight chance of rain.

Most areas of southern Missouri are expected to remain dry until the middle of next week.
