Press Releases from two area legislators announce their committee assignments for the 2025 Legislative Session.

State Representative Brian Seitz, beginning his third term in the house, will once again chair the Special Committee on Tourism while Seitz will also serve on the Commerce, Veterans/Armed Forces, and Crime/Public Safety.

Meanwhile Brad Hudson, moving over from the House to the Senate, for this session, will Vice-Chair both the Education and Government Efficiency along with hold positions on the Appropriations Committee and the Families, Seniors, and Health Committee.

Seitz on his committee assignments:
“I am thankful to once again serve as the Chair of the Special Committee on Tourism, the most important committee for our tourism-driven area of the state. Additionally, I am thankful to be continuing my service on both the Veterans and Armed Forces and Crime and Public Safety committees. These are two important subject areas that matter greatly to the 156th District. I am also very excited to serve on the newly created Commerce Committee, which will be hearing legislation to create more opportunity and investment in our state. As I enter my third term as state representative, I am looking forward to utilizing my position on these committees to further the goals of the citizens and stakeholders of the 156th District."

Hudson on his committee assignments:
I’m thankful to Pro Tempore Cindy O’Laughlin for putting her faith in me to serve on these important Senate committees. “It is rare for a newly elected senator to serve as a member of the Appropriations Committee, which is a testament to the importance of my service on the House Budget Committee, and my ability to communicate with people from all walks of life about issues that impact our entire state. As Vice-Chair of both Education and Government Efficiency, I look forward to advocating for policies that will support Missouri students, parents and teachers, as well as legislation that will make government more efficient and effective. Finally, through my work on the Families, Seniors and Health Committee, I hope to make Missouri a better place to live for citizens of all ages, and support strong, common sense legislation that will protect kids and encourage families to move to, and build their lives, in our state.”
