Area State Senator Announces Bid for Congress

A Lakes Area State Senator announces he is seeking the 7th District Congressional Seat.

Mike Moon announces via Facebook and his Website that he will seek the Republican Nomination for the 7th District Congressional Seat currently held by Billy Long in 2022. 

Moon, who served as State Representative for the 157th District for seven years, is finishing his first year as 29th District State Senator. Moon states his desire to take his conservative values to Washington to serve in the U.S. House. 

Billy Long announced earlier this year that he will seek the U.S. Senate Seat currently held by Roy Blunt, who is retiring at the end of his current term in 2022.
