Another shift in administration is announced in the Branson School District.

The Branson Board of Education approved the appointment of a new principal for Buchanan Intermediate during February’s Board Meeting.
Mr. Tyler Prochazka will assume the role beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. He will succeed Dr. Matt Dean, who will begin his duties as Branson’s Executive Director of Operations.
Prochazka currently serves as Assistant Principal for Buchanan Intermediate and has been with the district since 2008. He has held his current role since 2019.
He received his undergraduate degree from Hastings College and his master’s degree from Missouri State University. Prochazka is expected to complete his doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction through Evangel University in 2028. In 2022, he was awarded the Southwest Region Outstanding Assistant Principal by the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP).
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Buchanan Intermediate community in this new role,” said Prochazka. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and partnering with families to support students as they learn, grow and gain confidence during
these important years.”
Tyler and his wife, Dorothy, have three children. Prochazka will begin his new duties July 1,
2026.
