The first national amateur bass fishing year long tour is wrapping up with the final event this weekend.
The Bass Pro Shops U.S. Open National Bass Fishing Amateur Team Championships has featured a series of qualifying tournaments across the country which wrapped up with the final qualifier Wednesday on Bull Shoals Lake.
The Championship Event will take place on Table Rock Lake Friday through Sunday with the proceeds to benefit the conservation efforts of Bass Pro and founder Johnny Morris. The guaranteed purse value for tournament is $4.3 million with $1 million for the first-place team.
Other events will include a fishing contests for kids and veterans.
