Big Cedar Lodge Hosts 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony

Big Cedar Lodge will host an event in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks.

The event will begin at 1:00 Saturday afternoon in the Big Cedar Lodge Registration Parking Lot and with participants to include Fire and Police Personnel from Taney County, the Veterans of the Ozarks, Boys Scouts of America, and the Ozark Jr. ROTC. 

“We will forever remember this day in history and honor those who lost their lives 20 years ago today on 9/11,” Bass Pro Shops President of Hospitality Debbie Bennett tells Jason Wert of the Branson Tri-Lakes News. “We have a deep appreciation for our armed forces, first responders, veterans, their families and their unbounding commitment to protect this great country we love. We’re coming up on the 50th anniversary at Bass Pro Shops and it would not be possible if it weren’t for those who have defended our freedoms and those who support conservation.”

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
