The Boone County Regional Airport will begin construction on their new terminal building funded by $7 million in federal grant money according to Airport Manager Judy McCutcheon.
McCutcheon appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday, talking about that update and more. The new terminal will sit in front of the old one. When the new one is complete, the old one will be torn down. The space will turn into a parking lot.
The airport has waited on the news about receiving the money for a years. The airport manager spoke briefly about the project's contractor which is Davis Construction which is based in Harrison.
Building is expected to start next week. McCutcheon discussed other projects later in the program. More was discussed on the broadcast.
