Branson Educator Named “Out of this World” Teacher

BRANSON, MO (November 3, 2022) – Kelly Neal, sixth grade teacher at Buchanan Intermediate, was named the Central Bank and Legends 1063 “Out of this World” teacher for the month of October. Neal has been with the district since 2001.

“It is such an honor to receive this award, especially knowing the nomination came from a former student who is now in high school and his brother, who is in my sixth grade class this year,” says Neal.

Neal appeared on KRZK’s UpSide Morning Show with host Josh Clark for her award presentation. Central Bank Marketing Director, Brandi Beebe, presented Neal with a plaque as well as a gift basket. Neal says, “Teachers are some of the most dedicated people I know, and to have organizations like Central Bank and KRZK recognize us for our hard work, really shows what we do for children is appreciated out in the community. I am proud to be a Branson Pirate!”

The “Out of This World” teacher campaign is sponsored by Central Bank of the Ozarks, KRZK, Ozarks DynaCom and other local area businesses. Teachers from Stone and Taney counties can be nominated for the award by going to the Legends 1063 website.

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
