Branson Public Schools Announces New Director of Technology

A change in an administration position takes place in the Branson School District in January.

Current Assistant High School Principal Jason Steele will  take of as Director of Technology replacing the retiring Dr. Michelle Brenner. Branson Schools Director of Communication Tori Palumbo tells Ozarks Dynacom that Steele's Assistant Principal's position will  not be filled immediately with duties being covered by the other assistants Dr. Sara Strohm and Dr. Nathan Carter and Principal Dr. Jack Harris.

Branson Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Steele as the district’s new Director of Technology & Digital Learning for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Steele replaces Dr. Michelle Brenner who is retiring from public education after 27 years.

Steele, who currently serves as Assistant Principal at Branson High School, has been with the district since 2015. He received his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University, a master’s degree in Administration from William Woods University, and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. With 19 years in education throughout Southwest Missouri, Steele holds experience from Willard and Hollister school districts.

Jason and his wife Kayme, have two school-aged children.

“I look forward to collaborating with such a dedicated team of educators and technology professionals,” said Steele. “Together, we will continue to create innovative solutions that empower both students and teachers.”

The district looks forward to Steele’s leadership and the continued growth of its technology initiatives. He will begin his new duties January 6, 2025.

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
