A Lakes Area woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle sustains serious injuries in the crash that kills the driver.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred southwest of Bolivar near the community of Aldrich. The motorcycle, driven by a 70-year-old man from Stockton, failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway where it went down and embankment through a fence ejecting the driver and a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver was killed in the crash while the passenger, a 69-year-old woman from Branson, sustained serious injuries and was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
This is the 16th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
