The full release is below from Christian Action Ministries:

The sixth annual Festival of Trees fundraiser for Christian Action Ministries will run November 4th- December 4th at the Branson Landing to help with food shortages for Taney County residents, organizers have announced.

The storefront will be open 10 a.m.- 8 p.m Mondays through Saturdays and Noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays at Suite 1105 on the Landing. A special ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. November 8, to which the public is invited. The annual fundraiser offers visitors and community members a Christmas wonderland full of creatively decorated trees, wreaths and Christmas décor.

Area businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals partner with the food pantry by sponsoring a tree or wreath. Hundreds of items will be on display for purchase. The public will also be able to vote on the People’s Choice tree again this year.

“We are especially excited for this year’s Festival of Trees event. We have several new partners and a new mission,” said Michele Dean, executive director at Christian Action Ministries. “Our desire is to make more of a connection between the Festival of Trees and the food pantry, bringing a deeper understanding of the impact the event has on helping our neighbors.”

Those wanting to volunteer for the tree festival can sign up by contact Dean directly at director@christianactionministries.org.

Chrisitan Action Ministries has served to combat food insecurity in Taney County since 1984. Each year more than 40,000 individual cases of assistance are recorded – meaning nearly 500,000 meals provided in the more than two million pounds of food distributed. The food pantries are funded by donations from individuals, churches, and businesses in the community, and staffed by the dozens of faithful volunteers who contribute
their time and talents to serve their neighbors.

The ministry’s mission, vision, and impact in Taney County, is detailed on the website at www.christianactionministries.org.
