The January Snowstorm led to an added game this week on the Branson Boy's Basketball Schedule which in turn led a Branson Student to coordinate a food drive.
Branson GO CAPS Student Isaac Jackson proposed to use the extra game as a chance to host a drive to benefit Christian Action Ministries. The flyer for the event states that with spring break approaching, many students and their families that rely on meals at school will need some extra assistance.
Donations of non-perishable food, baby, and hygiene items will be accepted as well as cash donations to help the CAM stock up for the upcoming spring holidays.
The Branson Boys will host Clever in three games Thursday with the Freshman Game to begin at 5:00 followed by Junior Varsity and Varsity Contests. The game was added after the Pirates were unable to play a third game at the Pittsburg, Kansas Tournament because of Winter Storm Fern, which forced the cancellation of the final day of games.
