City of Branson Announces Start of Downtown Streetscape Phase 4 Construction

Phase 4 of Branson's downtown streetscape will move to construction, according to a city press release.

The full release is below:

(BRANSON, MO, March 19, 2025) The City of Branson is pleased to announce the commencement of Phase 4 of the Downtown Streetscape Project, a major infrastructure improvement aimed at enhancing our charming historic downtown district. Construction, led by Emery Sapp & Sons, is set to begin on April 1, 2025, with an anticipated completion date of October 15, 2025. To accelerate project completion and reduce long-term disruptions, the City has approved a 24-hour construction schedule throughout the duration of the project. The project will be completed in phases to ensure continued access to businesses for residents and visitors. All construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to adjustments.

  1. Phase 1 and 1A (April – Early June): Main Street between Veterans Boulevard and Commercial Street and the intersection of Commercial and Main Street
  2. Phase 2 and 2A (Early June – October): Main Street between Commercial Street and Sycamore Street and the intersection of Sycamore and Main Street

To ensure safe and smooth traffic flow in conjunction with pedestrian safety, the City will implement clearly marked detours around construction zones. Signage will be placed throughout the downtown area to help guide residents and visitors through alternative routes. Additionally, the 24-hour work schedule will allow much of the construction to take place during off-peak hours, reducing overall congestion, improving worksite safety, and limiting prolonged street closures.

The City of Branson appreciates the patience and cooperation of the downtown community as we work to make the area more vibrant, accessible, and welcoming.
