College of the Ozarks announces official sponsorship of Wreaths Across America

Rows of white headstones adorned with holiday wreaths honor the fallen at a national cemetery during Wreaths Across America, a moving tribute of remembrance and gratitude.

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. — As the Christmas holiday season approaches, College of the Ozarks is proud to announce that it is now an official sponsor of Wreaths Across America, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and remembering America’s fallen Veterans.

Wreaths Across America leads the effort to place a wreath on every military Veteran’s grave throughout the United States and to hold wreath dedication ceremonies at U.S. national cemeteries around the world.

“The College has participated in these efforts throughout the years and is proud to act as an official sponsor this year,” said James Schreffler, vice president of patriotic activities at College of the Ozarks. “We are pleased to take the next step this year in becoming corporate sponsors to further galvanize support for this great effort and the remarkable mission of Wreaths Across America. By doing so, we make it possible for others to sponsor wreaths under our organization’s partnership, helping ensure that as many Veterans’ graves as possible are honored across the United States.”

As part of the program, the College encourages campus family and friends to participate by donating a wreath through the College’s official sponsorship page at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MO0075P.

The process to participate is simple and takes only a few minutes to complete. Participants can visit the link and click the “Sponsor Wreaths” button to contribute. The College invites supporters to share this opportunity with their family and friends to help honor Veterans and their families who have given so much for the nation during this special season.

In addition, College of the Ozarks will send a small group of students to Washington, D.C., to take part in the Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Dec. 13, 2025.

About Wreaths Across America
