College of the Ozarks to host Associates Luncheon Tuesday, January 30

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — The C of O Associates Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 11:30 a.m., in the Silver Dollar City Parlor at The Keeter Center. The College invites current associates, and those interested in becoming associates, to attend the luncheon to learn valuable information about Planning Your Charitable Legacy.  Linda Bowers, Estate Planning Expert, from Central Trust will share details on how to make a legacy gift, types of assets used for gifting, and information on setting up wills and trusts.

“This special event is designed for those interested in resources on estate planning. We look forward to hearing from Mrs. Bowers on the simple steps one should take as they consider how to leave a charitable legacy,” said Natalie Rasnick, Dean of Development at College of the Ozarks. “College of the Ozarks wants to offer this presentation, combined with a delicious meal at The Keeter Center, for just $10. Please join us for this fun and informative event at Hard Work U.”

The College of the Ozarks Associates is an organization comprised of more than 350 individuals and businesses committed to the furtherance of the College’s interests and its efforts to provide higher education for deserving young men and women.

The cost of the luncheon is $10 per person. Associates are invited to bring their friends.  RSVP is required and due by Monday, Jan. 22 to the Development Office at (417) 690-2209 or e-mail associates@cofo.edu.

The previous record under alternative methods was a 2-pound, 2-ounce fish also caught from Lake Taneycomo in 2022.

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
