In Missouri and Arkansas, the odd number years see elections on two different days.
For Missouri, that is today while in Arkansas, it traditionally comes on the second Tuesday of November but will be pushed back a week this year due to next Tuesday being Veterans Day.
One county in the Lakes Region will see a ballot issue as voters in the Cassville Fire Protection District will decide on a Sales Tax that would provide revenue for district operations. The collected Sales Tax would trigger a Property Tax reduction.
Meanwhile, voters in the Nixa Fire Protection District will look to pass a Property Tax to fund operations. Most of the voters on this issue are in Christian County though some voters in northern Stone County also can vote on this issue.
All voters in Christian County will decide if they want to approve an Internet Use Tax Issue for out of state vendors.
Polls in those areas will be open today until 7:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the only Arkansas Lakes Region County with a ballot issue on November 18 is in Marion County where voters will decide on a 0.5% sales and use tax to be used for jail and law enforcement purposes.
