A Branson woman is accused of stealing more than $1,200 from Vasken’s Deli by allegedly voiding cash transactions and keeping the money.
Catriona Marie Jones has been charged in Taney County Circuit Court with stealing more than $750, a Class D felony.
According to the probable cause statement, the Branson Police Department took a report on January 7, 2026 of suspected cash skimming at the deli. The business owner reported that Jones had allegedly taken cash throughout December 2025 and into early January 2026.
Officers reviewed video, photo, and document files with the investigation leading to allegations that Jones stole around $1300 between December 3, 2025, and January 5, 2026. She was reportedly observed accepting customer payments, voiding the transactions on the register kiosk, and pocketing the cash. Investigators say the kiosk system was altered to show the payments as voided transactions, making it appear that customers canceled their orders or were unable to pay.
The probable cause statement also reportedly shows Jones taking the tip jar and both registers prior to taking the money to a counting area.
Other court documents state that Jones had two convictions for similar crimes in 2012 in Ozark County and 2024 in Jasper County.
According to court records, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jones.
