Branson Firefighters are currently on the scene of Fire at the Spark Hotel near Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
According to a video report posted by Branson Tri-Lake News Reporter Jason Wert, initial reports indicate a gas line may have been cut which caused gas to build up around the pool building and eventually caused the explosion. The latest post by Wert on the Branson Tri-Lakes News Facebook Page indicates that the fire is now out.
There was significant damage inside the hotel according to Wert with some injuries reported.
Later information obtained by Ozarks First from Branson City Spokeswoman Mariya Serykh indicated that all the residents of the building are believed to have been evacuated.
Serykh added that one Branson Firefighter and a civilian were taken to a Springfield Hospital for medical attention.
