A free Fishing Event will be held in Northern Arkansas this weekend.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is celebrating National Hunting and Fishing Week by hosting fishing derbies across the state, including one scheduled for Saturday from 9 to noon at the Fred Berry Conservation Education Center on Crooked Creek in Yellville.
The derby is free to the public. Anglers ages 16 and older must have a valid fishing license.
