Five Star Talent Contest Final Show Saturday

What started out for many as a video submission now comes down to one performance to win a chance to perform on a Branson Stage.

The Ozarks Dynacom Five Star Talent Contest, presented by Connell Insurance and also sponsored by Explore Harrison, is down to the final 10, who will perform on the stage at Presley's Theater Saturday Afternoon at 2:00. The winner will receive a $1000 Cash Prize in addition to a spot on an upcoming edition of "Branson Country, U.S.A." at the Grand Country Music Hall. 

The 10 Finalist that will perform Saturday are:

Erin Payne
Diana Rockwell and Minnie Doughnut
The Crays Twins
Lisa Straka 
Jake and Mikayla
Bri Coleman
Jazz! Quartet 
Erich Eastman 

Branson Entertainer Dalena Ditto will host the show with the judges being former American Idol Contestant and current Grand County Performer Luke Menard, Actress Shelley Waggener, and Branson Tri-Lakes News Publisher Mandy Farrow. 

Tickets can still be purchased through the websites of the Branson Regional Arts Council and the Ozark Arts Council which are benefitting from this contest. A limited number of tickets will be available the day of the show at the Presley's.

The previous record under alternative methods was a 2-pound, 2-ounce fish also caught from Lake Taneycomo in 2022.

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
