Folks are invited to press their best flannel and shine their hiking boots as the Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce prepares to host its 2024 Glamping in Forsyth Gala.
The annual event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Taney Center in Forsyth. In comparison to recent years, the gala will be offering a casual, chill and laid back atmosphere, which is why it’s featuring a glamping theme, according to Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce President Rose Backlin.
“I figured the last couple of years it’s been really fancy, so this year is ‘Glamping in Forsyth,’ but that way it’s more low-key. A lot of us have so many fancy things we’ve got to go to that it’s nice just to be casual and chill and things like glamping is,” Backlin said. “So if you want to wear your flannel or camo. If you wanna wear your jeans. You know, just whatever you feel like kind of doing and the Taney Center is kind of rustic anyways, so it kind of goes with the theme.”
