Through resources provided by a Grant, the Stone County Community Health Coalition have been coordinating programs for Marijuana Awareness.
Monica Mueller with the Stone County Health Department who also works with the Coalition, says during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program that the coalition decided to use the $100,000 they were awarded by the Missouri Department of Mental Health to go to marijuana awareness because of the legalization of medical marijuana and to warn of the dangers of misusing the products. Mueller along with Program Administrator Sharon Perkins also talk about the many presentations they have made to area schools and organizations.
Mueller says the initial grant time period will expire at the end of this month but they coalition has already filed for a renewal of the grant.
